Where to Find the Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold

Wow! I really loved the movie Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Richard Chamberlain deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Sharon Stone was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone worked wonderful in Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold. The great supporting cast includes Richard Chamberlain, Sharon Stone, James Earl Jones, Henry Silva, Robert Donner.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

Summary of Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold:
Despite the critical drubbing and box-office failure of King Solomon's Mines (1985), Cannon Films released this sequel two years later, again featuring Richard Chamberlain as adventurer Allan Quatermain and a pre-Basic Instinct Sharon Stone; the result is marginally better than its predecessor, and may please "bad film" fans. This time around, Quatermain is seeking his brother (Martin Rabbett), who has disappeared while on an expedition to locate a legendary white tribe in Africa. Quatermain's search leads him to the title city, which is controlled by evil Henry Silva (overacting with relish). Director Gary Nelson and returning writer Gene Quintano achieve a few more half-hearted laughs here than in its predecessor, and the cast, which includes James Earl Jones and Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson, do their best with the material, but this can't hold a candle to the 1937 and 1950 film versions of King Solomon's Mines. --Paul Gaita

Directed By: Noel Black Charley Tate (James Whitmore, Two-time Academy Award Nominee and Tony Award Winner) is an old windbag, often a braggart, but somehow always lovable. Married over fifty years to his ever-patient wife Lucy (Teresa Wright, Academy Award winner), they are on their Golden Honeymoon in Florida.

Everything goes perfectly, until Lucy meets her former fiance who's also vacationing with his wife. Suddenly there's a comic competition between Charley and the old boyfriend for Lucy's attention. After fifty years, cantankerous Charley has to win his girl all over again!
